prawning

woke up really late today. been quite a while since i am able to slack and nua in bed till 2 plus pm. anyway, went with the floorball girls for prawning today. my virgin trip and i really didn't know what to expect and how fun it will be. hence, everything was kind of a surprise for me. the prawning place was rather big, with two big ponds with god knows how many prawns. but, to be frank, i'm really afraid of live animals. hence, i really can't bring myself to unhook the prawns or skew them. its too much of a trauma for me. hence, i can only hook the meat and wait for the prawn to get hooked. and once the prawn fall prey, i will give a jerk to the rod and lift the whole rod up. there were quite a few embarrassing moments as i flung the rod too far back and the prawn landed rather far behind, on the floor. you see, i really don't dare to touch it at all! anyway, all the girls weren't in much luck today and the 9 of us only managed to catch 20 odd prawns in 3hours with 5 rods. hahaha.. quite loserish. but luckily, a bunch of guys who seemed professional enough to me, were kind enough to share their haul with us. they caught so much that they couldnt finish it and ended up sharing with us around 30 odd prawns. nice guys. but anyway, prawning was really fun and i don't mind going for it again so long as there will be a better catch and someone to unhook for me next time;)
