prawning

woke up really late today. been quite a while since i am able to slack and nua in bed till 2 plus pm. anyway, went with the floorball girls for prawning today. my virgin trip and i really didn't know what to expect and how fun it will be. hence, everything was kind of a surprise for me. the prawning place was rather big, with two big ponds with god knows how many prawns. but, to be frank, i'm really afraid of live animals. hence, i really can't bring myself to unhook the prawns or skew them. its too much of a trauma for me. hence, i can only hook the meat and wait for the prawn to get hooked. and once the prawn fall prey, i will give a jerk to the rod and lift the whole rod up. there were quite a few embarrassing moments as i flung the rod too far back and the prawn landed rather far behind, on the floor. you see, i really don't dare to touch it at all! anyway, all the girls weren't in much luck today and the 9 of us only managed to catch 20 odd prawns in 3hours with 5 rods. hahaha.. quite loserish. but luckily, a bunch of guys who seemed professional enough to me, were kind enough to share their haul with us. they caught so much that they couldnt finish it and ended up sharing with us around 30 odd prawns. nice guys. but anyway, prawning was really fun and i don't mind going for it again so long as there will be a better catch and someone to unhook for me next time;)

time travelling machine

met up with my cchb friends today and realised how much everyone has changed over the years. sylvia is going back to aust. reagan has came back with a degree. the guys are going to enter uni. the girls still have 1-2 more years to go before we get hold of our degrees.

haha.. i can foresee how in maybe 6 years' time, some of us will be bringing little devils to gatherings. what a sight it will be!=)

it was great fun meeting up with them. poking fun at each other and feeling the same bond. sometimes, it just feel like im on a time travelling machine. riding back to the good old times.

may our bond last...

off to wonderland?

haha.. i've actually got a lot of things i wanna say. but i just can't seem to put them into sentences. its just some emotions thats swimming in me right now. i wish i have someone whom i can talk to. a robot perhaps. who will listen to my troubles. i don't need it to give me any advice. i just need a listening ear, and assurance that my problems will be buried safe with it. someone whom i can just blast my problems to. just bitch when i feel like it. just cry when i need to. 

all these. will need a superhuman to undertake. and probably that superhuman will be my own heart and soul. 

gst credits

just received my gst credits from the government today! haha! i never thought i will be eligible for it since i'm not 21 officially. but well, who will say no to money? heh heh.

so, its week 7. and while some of my friends are leading a good life (as their mid terms have either ended or are scheduled in week 9), i'm slogging my guts out, burying myself in my notes for almost a week. and alas!, i've already completed my CB quiz 1, nego end of course quiz and IEA mid term! now i'm only left with BP Project&presentation (by thurs) and BP mid term on sat to go!

well, week 8 is the officially time for us to play catching up. this is especially true for me since i'v been lagging behind in my studies and readings for ages. let's hope that one pathetic week will be enough for me to fulfill my programme line up and my IEA project rushing and catching up on readings!

hmm, its already mid term week and this means that we have around 5 more weeks to go since week 14 is study week. haha! time passes really damn fast! and i havent found any internship and i havent finalise my exchange plans!

friday the 13th

somehow, the previous post read like a life story. haha. but oh wellsssss

im currently in my mpw class and thankssss stef for the rose delivery huh.. and i never abandon you all for no reason la.. i've got things to do most of the time:((

ok anyways, there's sports awards night tonight. frankly, im not expecting much. thus, it will be really easy to satisfy me. it had better be good, for i sacrificed my studying time for it!=)

4) basically, i eat to live. i can be really easy going with my choice of meals but i do have some preferences too. The only types of meat are: Pork, duck, fish and chicken. Anything that does not fall into these groups basically turns me off, like, beef, venison, etc etc. On top of that, i don't eat non-leafy vegetables like cauliflower, carrot, peas, beans.......................

5) i can still recall how exciting a carnival was during my pri school days. In those days, my pri school will hold an annual carnival to raise funds. Each try at each game station will cost 50cents. And oh my, you have to use the exact 50cent coin and not try to mix 20cents and 10cents into a 50 cents value. oh ya, i can still recall how my mum will try to dig deep into her wallet to look for 50cents coins. however, sad to say, she will always give my sister like 5 while she will only give me a pathetic 1 or 2 coins. so, most of the time, i will only watch from afar.

6) building on point 5: i remember there was this one year that i hav only one 50cents coin. and as a good girl by nature who doesnt know how to say NO. I happily lent it to my friend who says she wants to borrow it so that she can buy a packet of snacks at the carnival. of course i regretted after that cause she never offer me a bite and i missed playing.

have been doing IEA Chapter 1 for the past three hours. HAHA. i wanted to start it right by understanding things not just at face value, but also internalise it. but guess its way too slow and i might have lost my comparative advantage.

haha.

anyway, have you wrote the 25 random things on facebook?

i have already written mine but kevin told me its boring. so i shall give it a revamp over here. but, i will release three per post ok!

1) I was a mummy's girl and this fact hasn't changed up till now. I remembered obeying everything my mum said and did not even bother processing them. ie. everything my mum said was right and i must fulfill them. Hence, i was really quiet and felt almost like a puppet during my childhood days. of course, i changed during my teenage years.

2) as you can infer from point 1, my mum was a strict disciplinarian. this is of course understandable since my dad was mostly overseas and she has to bring up three girls almost on her own. apart from the frequent beatings, my mum will instill fear in my 2 sisters and 1 by throwing away our dinner/lunch should we talk too much over meals. i think she can be considered suave then. cause she took our plates and threw the food away with such clean cut and swift action.

3) i was a lonely kid during recess breaks from pri 1 to pri 3. I sometimes do think i trained my endurance then. I actually could withstand bringing a bun/bread to school everyday and just stood near the stage, chewing on it while i witness how the other kids enjoyed their breaks. i wasn't given any pocket money then. only a bun/bread and my treasured water bottle.

week 7 is certainly hell crazy.

apart from the 3 mid term tests that i will be having, i have a presentation to rush for.

anyway, i still need to decide on whether i'm going for BSM Middle East or exchange! grrrrr...
